Jimmy Smith Morgan County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year

Mr. Jimmy Smith, owner of Jimmy
Smith Jewelers, a long time devoted hard working Racking
Horse enthusiasts was selected to receive the Morgan County
Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year award on Tuesday
evening. Mr. Smith played a lead role in attracting the
headquarters of the Racking Horse Breeders Association to
the Decatur area the Decatur Daily reported. In his
acceptance speech Mr. Smith said, "I've been asked many
times if I was ready to retire." "After tonight, I'm just
getting ready to get started again."
Congratulations to Mr.
Smith. I am sure we will see him in Decatur at the Spring
Celebration April 25th working at the CVB hospitability
booth doing what he loves to do and that is welcoming
everyone to the show.
