Glenn Shelton suffers a heart attack on Wednesday...

Well, yesterday was not a good day. Glenn had a heart attack. He was having chest pains and all the classic symptoms and I finally convinced him to go to the ER. MEN!!! We got there around 7:30 a.m. and he was having a heart attack when they took him in. They did an EKG and immediately put him on nitro. By 9:30 he was having a heart cath. They found a blocked artery to the back of his heart and were able to clear it with a balloon. Then, they put in two stints. Although he did have damage to the back heart muscle, his doctor said his heart should be able to mend itself within 7 months. What a relief!!! He's still in the CCU, but should be moved to a regular room later this morning. I am worn out,but coping.

July 27, 2007 update

Well, Glenn is at home now!  Thanks for all your concern and prayers.  He should be back to normal in a couple of weeks and can even start work Monday as long as he doesn't do anything physical.  I sure hope that doesn't include talking because he's really in trouble. Marilyn - I really understand how tired you are and hope Mike gets well
soon.  Our prayers are with you all.
