Racking Horse Breeders

I certify that the colt, filly, or gelding named above has been approved by the Racking Horse Breeders’ Association. In making this entry, I subscribe to the rules laid down for the conduct of the Racking Horse Breeders’ Association National Futurity and agree to abide by them.

Lapsed Nomination Fee Scheduled for pedigree registered horses: $200 – 1 Year lapsed nomination fees and penalties $400 – 2 Year lapsed nomination fees and penalties A 16-day grace period is allowed on all nominations with a $25 penalty per entry. No fees will be accepted after August 31. Only weanlings will be allowed to show with pending papers.
*Racking Horse Breeders' Association National Futurity - General Provisions* What Colts and Fillies are Eligible: All those shown must be the progeny of stallions and mares who have been nominated in the RHBAA National Futurity Nomination of the Sire: 1) Stallion must be registered in the Racking Horse Breeders’ Association Stud Book at the time of foaling. 2) $50.00 fee must be paid on or before August 15 of the year in which the foal is eligible for the Weanling Division of the Futurity. Nomination of the Mare 1) Mare must be registered in the Racking Horse Breeders’ Association Stud Book at the time of foaling. 2) $30.00 fee must be paid on or before August 15 of the year in which the foal is eligible for the Weanling Division of the Futurity Weanling Division (Shown in Hand) 1) The sire and dam must be nominated in the futurity (before August deadline) the year the foal is eligible for the Weanling Division of the Futurity. 2) $50.00 fee must be paid on or before August 15 of the year the foal is eligible for the Weanling Division of the Futurity. 3) The foal must have an application for registration on file in the Racking Horse Breeders' Association office by August 15 of the year the foal is eligible for the Weanling Division of the Futurity.
Yearling Division (Shown in Hand) 1) The colt, filly, or gelding must have been entered in the Weanling Division of the Futurity and all conditions and requirements of that Division must have been fulfilled to be eligible to show, or have paid all delayed nomination fees. No yearling will be allowed to show without a registration number. 2) $50.00 fee must be paid on or before August 15 of the year the entry is eligible for the Yearling Division of the Futurity.
Two-Year-Old Division (Shown under saddle) 1) The colt, filly, or gelding must have been entered in the Weanling and Yearling Division of the Futurity and all conditions and requirements of those Divisions must have been fulfilled to be eligible to show, or have paid all delayed nomination fees. 2) $50.00 fee must be paid on or before August 15 of the year the entry is eligible for the Two-Year-Old Division of the Futurity.
Three-Year-Old Division (Shown under saddle) 1) The colt, filly, or gelding must have been entered in the Weanling, Yearling, and Two-Year-Old Division of the Futurity and all conditions and requirements of those Divisions must have been fulfilled to be eligible to show, or have paid all delayed nomination fees. 2) $50.00 fee must be paid on or before August 15 of the year the entry is eligible for the Three-Year-Old Division of the Futurity.
Prize Money The prize funds shall be divided equally between the Weanlings, Yearlings, Two-Year-Old, Three-Year-Old, and Three and Under Country Pleasure Divisions. The prize funds shall be divided equally between fillies and colts in gender split classes. * The nominator of the dam of the winning filly in the Weanling division (both Open and Amateur Handlers) will receive $50.00. The nominator of the dam of the second place filly in the Weanling division (both Open and Amateur Handlers) will receive $25.00. * The nominator of the sire of the winning filly in the Weanling division (both Open and Amateur Handlers) will receive $50.00. The nominator of the dam of the second place filly in the Weanling division (both Open and Amateur Handlers) will receive $25.00. * The nominator of the dam of the winning colt in the Weanling division (both Open and Amateur Handlers) will receive $50.00. The nominator of the dam of the second place colt in the Weanling division (both Open and Amateur Handlers) will receive $25.00. * The nominator of the sire of the winning colt in the Weanling division (both Open and Amateur Handlers) will receive $50.00. The nominator of the dam of the second place colt in the Weanling division (both Open and Amateur Handlers) will receive $25.00. Fees: All payments to the National Futurity must be paid to the office of the Racking Horse Breeders’ Association by August 15. Futurity nomination fees allow one class entry per colt of filly at the World Celebration. If the colt of filly shows in more than one class, an additional fee ($50.00) will be paid on the day of the show. Liability: No entry is liable for more than the amount paid, but there will not be a return of payment. The right is reserved to reject and to debar any entry from competition for failure to comply with the conditions of the Futurity. Because of age requirements for blood typing, many weanlings will not have completed registrations by September. No "Pending Registrations" will be allowed to show in any category except the Weanling Division.
