Ladies Auxiliary Minutes

September 27, 2006

 

Meeting was called to order by our president Nicole Rehkemper.l

 

Barbara Johnson, Show Chairperson, talked about the Fall Celebration and thanked us for all the events that the Ladies Auxiliary performs during the shows.

 

Judy Jones, President of the RHBAA, gave a talk about the future of the organization.  She also talked a little about selling the grounds and how this would effect the organization.  More about this will be discussed at the general membership meeting on Saturday, September 30, 2006.

 

Tammy Cole said grace and everyone enjoyed a catered luncheon.  Several members brought a non-member with them and we now have several new members. 

 

Secretary Deb Morris read the minutes from the June 15th meeting.  Darlene Harris made a motion to accept, Jeanie Roberts second.  Motion passed.

 

Glenda Barrow, Treasurer, gave the treasury report.  At this time we have $2,059.61 in the bank.  A complete report of monies spent and made at the Celebration will be presented at the Winter Meetings in February, 2007.

 

Jo McInturff made a motion to accept, Tanya Parsons-Beaver second.  Motion passed.

 

Kathy Huff discussed the Barn Beautification project.  There are 11 barns participating and the judges are going to be Becky Faller and Kelly France.  Results of this will be presented at the Winter Meetings in February, 2007. 

 

Peggy Carroll gave us the results of the Dog Show.  How many dogs????

How much money????

 

Nicole reminded everyone that Friday night after the show there will be a hamburger/hot dog cook out.  Members are asked to bring soda.  Also, Robert Kirkpatrick donated several cases of soda.  Results will be presented at the Winter Meetings.

 

Saturday the Consignment Sale will be held in the Main Arena. 

 

A discussion was held on how to get the general membership more involved in events.  Kathy Huff suggested that we have a costume parade on Friday night after the show.  Any other ideas need to be brought up at the Winter Meeting.
